Gulf Shores Police Charge Man with Having a Stolen Vehicle
GULF SHORES, Ala.
A vehicle being advertised for sale was determined to be stolen according to an investigation by the Gulf Shores Police Department.
A tipster notified the police about the vehicle that was listed for sale online in Gulf Shores.
GSPD through their investigation determined that this vehicle had been reported stolen in the city of Mobile.
According to police, a traffic stop was conducted on a vehicle matching the description of the stolen car in the 18000 block of Fort Morgan Road as it turned into Mo’s Landing Park.
The driver of the vehicle, described as a 2018 Dodge Challenger Hellcat, was questioned and officers confirmed that the vehicle’s identification numbers matched those of the stolen vehicle.
Police arrested 30-year-old Michael Palmer Swiger of Gulf Shores at the scene, and he has been charged with Possession of Stolen Property in the First Degree.
