Gulf Shores Community Expo Set for November 7
Gulf Shores, Ala. – The City of Gulf Shores will host its inaugural Community Expo on
Thursday, November 7, with two sessions: 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Erie H.
Meyer Civic Center, located at 1930 West 2nd Street in Gulf Shores. This free event offers the public an opportunity to educate themselves on the vast array of local organizations and the many services available to them as well as volunteer and community engagement opportunities.
According to Gulf Shores Programs and Events Manager Brigette Reynolds, the event will feature civic groups, city departments, and local agencies, which provide services to Gulf Shores residents and special interests such as the arts, gardening, post- hurricane support, and participation in annual events.
“A vital part of the Gulf Shores community is understanding what resources and opportunities to get involved are available,” said Reynolds. “This event is set up to provide a one-stop-shop to learn about our local organizations and be introduced to the many services available to our residents.”
Several vendors will be in attendance, including the Gulf Coast Arts Alliance, Gulf Coast Eco Center for Tourism and Sustainability, Habitat for Humanity, the Rotary Club, VOAD, Alabama House of Representative Francis Holk Jones, and more.
Additionally, the City of Gulf Shores will have several departments at the event to answer questions.
