FAIRHOPE, Ala. While the prices of our groceries continue to rise causing many to forgo the nutritional foods that our bodies need, one national grocery chain has begun cutting prices in their stores.
According to a recent announcement by ALDI, the company has lowered their everyday low prices even more saving shoppers an estimated $86 million,” the company said in a press release. “This fall’s additional savings spans seasonal produce, organic favorites and lean proteins.”
The company with stores throughout our region also has a distribution center in Loxley, keeping area stores stocked with fresh produce, meats and all of the foods that families want.
Items are priced lower than in 2025, the company said, including the popular Kirkwood chicken breast family packs and Honeycrisp apples.
“At ALDI, value is a year-round promise, not a promotion,” said Scott Patton, ALDI chief commercial officer. “Customers trust us to help them make the most of their grocery budget, and we never stop looking for ways to run our business more efficiently so we can pass along savings. As shoppers head into fall routines and healthier habits, we’re making additional investments to lower prices on our better-for-you favorites, building on the value customers already see throughout our stores.”
Other reduced items are: Autumncrisp grapes, Bartlett pears, Brussels sprouts, butternut and spaghetti squash, fresh herbs and garlic, French beans, a variety of apples and potatoes.
“These reductions build on hundreds of items where prices are already lower than they were in 2025, spanning products like ground and organic whole bean coffee, an assortment of mixed nuts and dried fruit, everyday essentials like paper towels, and some of our most loved Fan Favorites items like Elevation Ready to Drink protein shakes and Choceur chocolate,” ALDI said.
