Federal and Local Law Enforcement Raid Homes in Alabama and Florida

ATMORE, Ala. Early Wednesday morning numerous local and federal law enforcement agencies began serving warrants on homes in Brewton, Atmore and Cantonment, Florida in Escambia County.

FBI agents could be seen at several residences along with DEA and local law enforcement agents as helicopters flew overhead.

A number of area residents reported seeing unmarked cars circling homes before investigators entered.

Dolly (last name withheld by request) stated that armored vehicles were used at the home across from hers and agents with rifles stormed the home.

Law enforcement hit several locations simultaneously.

Federal agents served multiple warrants in Alabama and Florida though agents didn’t disclose what they were looking for when asked.

The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office in Florida confirmed the agency assisted the DEA in two searches near the Cantonment area on Wednesday morning.
However neither local nor federal law enforcement would state what type of investigation was being conducted or if any arrests were made.
