Fatal Wreck Reported in Gulf Shores

GULF SHORES, Ala. An early morning scene near the Gulf Shores and Fort Morgan line brought out multiple fire engines, police and EMS.
The scene, believed to be a fatal motor vehicle crash, unfolded after 9 a.m., Saturday, February 21st, 2026, near State Highway 180 and Pleasure Point Road.
The Gulf Shores police and fire departments, Medstar, ALEA and the Fort Morgan Fire Department were all dispatched to the scene.
Authorities said that it was a fatality requiring extrication of at least one deceased person.
We do not know if anyone else was involved.
There was no further information available, but police said that they are conducting an investigation.
