DRUNK DRIVER LEADS TRO0PER ON PURSUIT

An ALEA State Trooper patrolling State Highway 225 Saturday night at around 7:30 p.m. observed a vehicle committing a traffic offense and attempted to pull it over but it fled from the officer.

The pursuit took the trooper down several county roads at excessive speeds and finally stopped at 9040 Porter Place in Stockton.

The trooper was able to get the vehicle stopped and took the driver, later identified as Micah Page Caine, 18, into custody.

Other ALEA troopers and the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office also responded.

Caine has been charged with:
Attempting to Elude a Police Officer
Driving Under the Influence
Alcohol Under 21 years old

Caine was booked into the Baldwin County jail and is being held on a bond.
