Driver Having Medical Emergency Slams Into Fairhope House

A driver having a possible medical emergency Saturday afternoon lost control of his vehicle and slammed into a house in Fairhope.

Several callers to the Baldwin County 911 Communications Center stated that a person was trapped inside his vehicle after hitting a home on Peyton Avenue.

Police and the fire department rushed to the scene and the driver was extricated from the vehicle.

Medstar was also dispatched to the scene and took over patient care.

A medical helicopter was also dispatched to the scene.

The driver was transported to a regional trauma center.

The Fairhope police are investigating the wreck.
