Driver Flees Serious Injury Crash in Bon Secour

A multi-vehicle crash on Saturday night in Bon Secour left one person with serious injuries including a severe head wound.
A second person also had possible injuries, but that person fled the scene before firefighters or law enforcement arrived.
At approximately 11:11 p.m. on Saturday night, Baldwin County 911 Communications initially received an automatic crash notification from a phone and dispatched both the Foley and Bon Secour Fire Departments to investigate.
Within a few minutes, firefighters from Bon Secour located a two-vehicle crash at Helton Drive and County Road 10. One vehicle may have also crashed into a building.
Because the driver of one of the vehicles had severe head injuries and a medical helicopter was dispatched to the scene.
Law enforcement and firefighters searched the area for the second person, but he/she was not located at that time.
At this time, the investigation is continuing and the person who fled the scene could face criminal charges.
