A Sunday afternoon Automatic Crash Notification sent to the Baldwin County 911 center by an iPhone turned out to be a real emergency on Brady Road where a truck flipped and injured several persons.
The accident located in the area of 33489 Brady Rd occurred after the truck hit a deer causing the truck to flip.
Both teenagers were able to self-extricate themselves but were injured.
One of the teens had severe head trauma while the second teen only suffered minor injuries to an arm.
The Styx River Fire Department, EMS and law enforcement were dispatched to the scene and began immediate patient care.
A medical helicopter was also dispatched to the crash and airlifted the teen with the head injury to a Florida trauma center.
While treating the teens several family members showed up to the scene and were consoled by first responders.
While this emergency was occurring, a brush fire was reported not far away also on Brady Road. The Pine Grove Fire Department responded to that situation.
