Daphne Police Investigating Shooting

DAPHNE Ala. October 16, 2024

A shooting was reported at a home Tuesday night.

The Baldwin County 911 communications center received a call for help at
around 7:30 p.m.

Police, the Daphne Fire Department, and an ambulance were dispatched to the home on
Abel Marle Court near the area of Champion’s Way after it was reported that one person
had been shot.

Police are investigating the shooting and at this time we do not know if this was self-inflicted, accidental, or an assault.

The Daphne Police Department confirmed Wednesday morning that the person accidentally shot themselves in the leg.

This is the fourth accidental shooting in our area in the past few months and two of them were in Daphne.
