A drug investigation by the Daphne Police Department has resulted in the arrest of one person and the recovery of 37 pounds of marijuana.
40-year-old Quentin Jong Davis was arrested in connection with the incident.
After receiving a tip, the police began investigating Davis.
It was reported by the tipster that Davis was storing a large amount of marijuana at a storage facility.
“While patrol officers were attempting to gain information about the unit’s renter, he arrived and began removing items from the unit,” the release said.
Officials said officers approached Davis as he was loading a suitcase into his van, and when they asked what was in it, he admitted he had weed in the storage unit and suitcase.
Daphne police secured the storage unit and home of Davis and obtained a search warrant and found 37 pounds of weed and $44,000 in cash.
Davis is charged with drug trafficking, a class A felony.
