DAPHNE, Ala.
Firefighters get called out to all sorts of things and never know what to expect from one shift to the next, but horse wrangling usually isn’t one of those calls, until it is.
According to the Daphne Fire Department, firefighters were called to a neighborhood in Lake Forest to help corral a horse that was wandering through the neighborhood.
Responding to the call for help was Battalion Chief Lamar Green, who was able to lasso it and return the horse to its owner.
The horse was described as “calm, docile,” in the post.
Officials said the horse is safe.
“Chief Green has always dreamed of being a cowboy, and that dream came true,” the post said.
“Just another day in the life of a Fire Battalion Chief/Cowboy,” it said.
