Coden Man Killed in Crash on Alabama 193

MOBILE, Ala.

 The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency is reporting that a Coden man has been killed in a two-vehicle crash that occurred on Alabama 193.

Police, fire and EMS personnel were dispatched to the scene of a wreck that occurred on Wednesday, April 23 at approximately 5:15 pm, according to officials.

Jeffery Shaw, 40, was fatally injured when the 2000 Toyota Celica he was driving collided head-on with the 2005 Chevrolet Suburban driven by Justin P. Hera, 36, of Mobile near the 16-mile marker.

Shaw was pronounced deceased on the scene and the driver of the second vehicle was taken to the hospital with injuries, according to ALEA.

The fatality remains under investigation.
