Bicyclist Killed in Mobile Wreck

A single-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 4:18 a.m. Thursday, April 3, 2025, has claimed the life of a Mobile man.

James H. Wade, Jr., 55, was fatally injured when the bicycle he was operating on was struck by a 2017 Chrysler Pacifica driven by Benjamin E. Walker, Jr., 43, of Theodore.

Wade was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The crash occurred on Old Pascagoula Road near Sperry Road, approximately 2 miles west of Mobile, in Mobile County.

Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
