Bay Minette Bank Robber Sentenced to 8 Years in Prison

MOBILE, Ala. He was found guilty of robbing a bank in Bay Minette and now, a federal judge has sentenced him to nearly eight years in federal prison.

Dondi Pettway handed a bank teller a note and threatened her by saying that he had a gun at the United Bank branch across from the Baldwin County Courthouse.

Pettway pleaded guilty to the bank robbery in August.

Spanish Fort police arrested Pettway a short time later. He had a little more than $2,000.

After prison, Pettway will be on supervised release for three years.
