Barnwell Firefighters Respond to Gas Leak

BARNWELL, Ala. Several agencies were dispatched to a report of a gas leak in Barnwell on Tuesday morning.

The Barnwell Fire Department, Fairhope Police, and Fairhope Utilities Department responded to the area of 15110 Scenic Highway 98 at around 10:04 a.m. after workers hit a gas line.

Firefighters stood by as utility workers capped the leak, which took about thirty minutes.

There was no report of any evacuations, and no one was injured.
