Bank Returning to Scenic 98 in Point Clear 

FAIRHOPE Ala.

For years, a bank sat at the corner of Scenic Highway 98 and CR 32 before it disappeared and the
building sat empty. Vison Bank packed up and left and a business eventually moved in.
Some speculated that a restaurant or maybe even a convenience store might take its place, but that never happened.

Now, a different bank will once again occupy the building at 17008 Scenic Hwy 98.

The Baldwin County Planning Commission has approved a plan for Montgomery-based AmeriFirst Bank to locate a new branch at the unusually shaped lot.

Plans are in the work to reconstruct the parking area, and a drive-thru with an ATM on the property as well.

The current tenants, the Campbell Companies, will relocate in the downtown Fairhope area.

The opening date has not been announced yet.
