Baldwin County Man Sentenced to More Than Ten Years in Prison on Child Sex Crimes

BALDWIN COUNTY, Ala. A Baldwin County man previously arrested for online child sex crimes has now been sentenced to federal prison for more than 10 years.

Kaden Heard, 31, pleaded guilty in September to attempted coercion and enticement, and possession of child pornography. He admitted that he struck up an online relationship with an undercover law enforcement agent posing as a 13-year-old girl.

Investigators say he sent sexually explicit photos and videos through Snapchat and bragged about traveling to California and Pennsylvania to have sex with teenagers.

The judge ordered Heard to receive substance abuse treatment in prison. He also has the option of participating in a sex offender treatment program. After prison, Heard will be on probation for 15 years.
