Baldwin County K-9 Unit Finds Missing Non-Verbal 6 Yr. Old Child

BALDWIN COUNTY, Ala. The Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office was called to the scene of a missing child on Monday.

K9 Artie and her handler, Deputy Hughes, helped bring a family back together.

Artie successfully tracked a non-verbal autistic 6-year-old child who had wandered about 8/10ths of a mile from home.

She was found safe, playing in a shed behind a nearby home, and was quickly reunited with her loved ones.

We’re very proud of Artie and Deputy Hughes, and thankful this story had such a happy ending.
