Baldwin County Fire Departments Kept Busy With More Than a Dozen Weekend Brush Fires

Firefighters in Baldwin County and across Alabama kept busy over the weekend fighting brush fires.

Several of these fires caught structures on fire or threatened to burn dwellings but were stopped by the efforts of area fire departments.
Two structures however did suffer some fire damage including a mobile home.

Mobile County also responded to a number of brush fires over the weekend and last weekend.

State Forestry officials said a wildfire advisory remains in effect for Alabama. According to the Alabama Forestry Commission, very low relative humidity, gusty winds, and lack of significant rain has caused some areas to be put on restrictions for burning anything outside.

The annual Alabama Department of Environmental Management’s annual burn ban remains in effect through the end of October.
