ALEA Charges Driver With Reckless Murder in Death of 2 Year-Old Child

A head-on wreck in Escambia County that left a small child dead has now resulted in the arrest of one of the drivers.
Sarah Janes, who was injured in the wreck, has now been charged with reckless murder, and assault in the 1st degree of the child.
Janes was the driver of an SUV involved in the deadly two vehicle wreck that happened on US 31 near Atmore. The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency said Sarah Janes was driving a SUV that crashed head-on into a minivan on Tuesday night.
Janes was taken from the crash scene to the Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola and treated for her injuries and was arrested after being discharged from the hospital.
According to ALEA, the driver and four kids in the minivan were taken to a hospital and a four-year-old in Janes vehicle was also taken to the hospital.
