SPANISH FORT, Ala. As hundreds of Alabamians were lining up to cast their vote on this November day, hundreds of others lined in Spanish Fort for something just as important, food.
The monthly ritual at the Prodisee Pantry, located at 9315 Spanish Fort Boulevard in Spanish Fort receives hundreds of people needing food assistance and today, was no difference.
In fact, at first, it almost looked like the line that forms each year around Thanksgiving time.
A spokesperson did say that the lines have been deep and constant long before the beginning time.
While I was there, things were very busy and very orderly. Several people in line were seen helping an older woman and man and allowed them to move forward first.
The Prodisee Pantry big Thanksgiving meals will distribute over 22,000 pounds of turkey and 250,000 pounds of food just for THANKSGIVING!!!
