Mobile Police Investigating After Dr. Shawn Clark Found Dead in Vehicle

MOBILE, Ala. A doctor recently arrested in Baldwin and Mobile Counties and facing more than a dozen child pornography has been found dead inside his vehicle.
Police and the Mobile Fire-Rescue responded Monday afternoon to 6901 Airport Boulevard after a man’s body was found inside the vehicle.
Dr. Shawn Clark, 59, a Mobile neurosurgeon, was found deceased by his attorney, Christine Hernandez, who immediately called 911.
He was facing five counts of production and five counts of possession of child pornography in Mobile County, alongside four counts of possession of child pornography in Baldwin County.
“At this time, this does not appear to be a criminal case, but an autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of death,” Mobile police said.
Clark had attempted suicide previously according to police.
Clark died ahead of his scheduled court appearances which were set for later this month.
