Police Locate Stolen Vehicle-Arrest Driver

MOBILE, AL. On Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at approximately 7:45 p.m., Mobile police officers were dispatched to 300 Azalea Road (Dollar General), in reference to a vehicle stolen from the location.
Police said that the vehicle’s owner reported that the vehicle had been stolen from the parking lot a short time earlier.
A report was taken and a vehicle description was dispatched to all city and county police officers.
A short time later, officers observed the vehicle on Michael Boulevard and initiated a traffic stop.
Police were able to arrest the driver, identified as Ariel Hill, 18, and transported him to Metro Jail.
The vehicle was recovered and returned to the owner.
Hill has been charged with Theft of Property First Degree (Felony)
