Daphne Man Charged With Rape

DAPHNE, Ala. A Daphne man has been charged with rape and was booked into the Baldwin County Detention Center and later released on bond.

Ray Charles Bullard of Daphne had been charged with Strong Arm Rape at the time of his original arrest.

Although very little public information is known about this case, Baldwin County sheriff deputies said that Bullock failed to appear in court and an arrest warrant was issued for him.

On Saturday, deputies caught up with him at the Audubon Park Apartments on County Road 64, but he refused to come out.
Deputies negotiated with Bullard and his mother behind their locked door for more than twenty minutes according to an eyewitness.
He eventually surrendered and sheriff deputies took him back into custody and transported him back to the county jail where is currently being held.
