Pedestrian Critically Injured in Summerdale Wreck

SUMMERDALE, Ala. A pedestrian was struck and injured Wednesday morning at around 11:30 a.m.
Several people stopped and helped care for the person while emergency responders were on the way.
Police, the Summerdale Fire Department and Medstar responded to the area of 18390 County Road 28 where they found the injured man.
A medical helicopter was also dispatched to the scene.
According to information obtained at the scene of the wreck, the injuries to the person was significant but police have not released any other details.
Police are investigating but have released no information on the driver of the vehicle.
