Mobile Man Sentenced to Federal Prison For Child Pornography Distribution

MOBILE, AL. A Mobile man previously convicted on child pornography distribution charges has now been sentenced to prison.
Samuel Paul Poulos, 51, was arrested after a search warrant was executed at Poulos’ home in November 2025, where officers took his cell phone and found “thousands of images and videos depicting sexual abuse of children.
Poulos was found in an online chat room sharing child sex abuse material.
According to a Department of Justice news release, Poulos was sentenced to seven years in prison after he pleaded guilty to one count of distributing child pornography in March.
After serving time in prison, he will be on supervised release for 15 years and will have to participate in sex offender treatment, substance abuse testing and treatment, and mental health treatment.
He will also have to pay $74,500 in restitution.
