BREWTON Ala. An Escambia County Alabama woman is facing serious charges including attempted murder.
Police responded to a shooting at a home on Lovelace Avenue after a victim drove to the police department in a car struck by multiple rounds.
Brewton police said that they took a statement from the victim and took pictures of the vehicle and then proceeded to where the suspect was last seen.
Investigators later found and detained Christiana Bell on East Jackson Street and arrested her on charges of attempted murder and shooting into an occupied vehicle.
But that would not be the end of it. Police said that while Bell was being transported to the Escambia County Detention Center, police said she fled from the transporting officer despite being handcuffed.
Brewton officers and Escambia County deputies located her a short time later near the county courthouse.
She was taken back into custody and now faces an additional charge of escape in the third degree.
She is currently being held at the Escambia County Detention Center.
