Mobile Mysticks is the Pro Hockey Team’s New Name

MOBILE, Al. Once again, the City of Mobile has a new pro hockey team, and their name is “Mobile Mysticks”.
The team will be returning to our Port City next year, said Mayor Spiro Cheriogotis.
The announcement was made on Tuesday, and the mayor is already hyped for the puck to drop at Regions Arena in 2027.
“I’m just glad I don’t have to keep it a secret anymore. Mysticks are back Mobile. You’re welcome,” Cheriogotis said.
Although many different names were submitted after Zawyer Sports and Entertainment, the owner of the new team asked the city to come up with a name back in September, the one that stood out was the Mysticks.
“We had our “Name the Team” contest, and we had basically 90-plus percent of thousands of votes for Mysticks. So we were like ‘I think they’re saying they want the Mysticks.’” said Zawyer President Andy Kaufmann.
It’s amazing how many people are excited that the team is being brought back to Mobile and we know that excitement will continue to grow even more before the first game is played.
