Parents Arrested for Endangering Children, Drugs

FOLEY, Ala. Local law enforcement was alerted by Florida police that the occupants of a vehicle were possibly heading to a location in Foley and that it was involved in connection to two missing or endangered juveniles.
The Escambia County, Florida, Sheriff’s Department gave local police the information on the vehicle and the two adults that were believed to be involved.
According to a Foley Police Department, officers spotted the vehicle just before 1:30 p.m. Saturday, May 30, on Highway 59, north of the Section Avenue intersection.
Police conducted a traffic stop and detained Kristen Dyar and Zachary Brill and identified the missing children.
Police said that the juveniles were the children of the adults in the vehicle.
Foley police said that during their investigation officers allegedly found fentanyl, psilocybin mushrooms, and drug paraphernalia in the vehicle.
Brill and Dyar were each charged with two counts of unlawful possession of a controlled substance, chemical endangerment of a child, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Officials notified the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office of the arrests, and the children were turned over to the Alabama Department of Human Resources.
