Man Deported From US 5 Times After Illegal Entry

MOBILE COUNTY, AL. According to a news release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Southern District of Alabama, Jesus Penaloza-Munoz, 33, was arrested during a traffic stop by U.S. Border Patrol agents on February 23rd, 2026.
It was at that time that police realized that the man from Mexico had entered the U.S. illegal on more than one occasion.
U.S. Border Patrol agents arrested Penaloza-Munoz during the traffic stop.
During the stop, Penaloza-Munoz used his Mexican Consular Identification Card to identify himself to agents. He reportedly told them he had no documents that allowed him to be in the country.
Agents found that he had been previously deported from the country on five different occasions after putting his fingerprints into the Integrated Automated Fingerprint Identification System.
This time, Penaloza-Munoz has been sentenced to time served and a year of supervised release. After being released, he will be referred to immigration officials for deportation proceedings.
He is also required to pay $100 in special assessments.
