UPDATE: Lillian Traffic Collision Injures Several People

LILLIAN, Ala. A multi-vehicle wreck on US 98 near County Road 91 on Wednesday evening injured several people and shut down the roadway for more than two hours.
At approximately 6:15 p.m., on February 25th, 2026, the Baldwin County 911 Communications Center received calls about the wreck and that several people were injured.
A Robertsdale police officer who just happened to be driving through the area at the time, stopped and assisted at the scene.
The Lillian and Perdido Beach Fire Departments, ALEA troopers, two ambulances and other resources were dispatched to the scene.
According to ALEA, Michal K. Burnett, 59, of Elberta was injured when the 2011 Jeep Patriot she was driving was struck by the 2012 Nissan Altima driven by Jessie Allyne McSherdon, 34, of Lillian. Burnett was injured and transported to Baldwin Health in Foley for medical treatment. The juvenile, who was a passenger in the Altima, was injured and transported to a local area hospital for medical treatment. McSherdon was not injured during the course of the crash.
US 98 at the intersection of County Road 91 was shut down for several hours during the incident and the traffic investigation by troopers.
At this time, we have been told that the collision remains under investigation by ALEA.
