Creola Police Charge Driver With Drug Possession

Creola AL. At approximately 10:12 PM on February 24, 2026, the Creola Police Department conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling southbound on Highway 43 at a speed of 67 mph in a 50-mph zone.
Officers with the Creola Police Department approached the truck and observed the driver discarding an item from the window.
When questioned, the driver admitted to having “a little bit of weed.”
But upon retrieving the item, officers found it to be a bag of marijuana.
Further investigation of the truck revealed the presence of a Glock 27 firearm.
The driver was subsequently arrested and booked into the Creola Jail for processing, facing charges of possession of marijuana (second offense).
The total weight of the recovered marijuana was confirmed to be 60 grams (2.1 ounces).cc
