4 Vehicle Crash Slows Down Belforest Morning Commute

The Baldwin County 911 communications center received an alarm activation from a phone
which alerted them to a possible accident near State Highway 181 @ County Road 64.
Dispatchers notified the Belforest Fire Department to respond to the scene.

Emergency activations from cellphones happen frequently and are often found to be false alarms but not this time. Upon arriving near CR 64 @ Rigsby Road, firefighters spotted the wreck.

Four vehicles were involved with several people reporting that they had been injured.

The road area was already congested with morning commuters and the wreck and responding emergency vehicles closed part of CR 64.

Several people were treated by medical personnel and at least two vehicles were towed from the scene.

ALEA troopers were also called to the scene to investigate the accident.
