1 Person Killed In Citronelle Car Wreck

CITRONELLE, Ala.

An accident on Saturday night on Highway 45 and Carson Dickinson Road left one person dead and another injured according to police.

A call came into the 911 center at around 7:45 p.m. stating that people were trapped after there was a two-vehicle wreck and people needed help.

Citronelle Fire Rescue, police, and several ambulances responded to the crash and both people were freed from the vehicles.

A medical helicopter was called in and transported one person to the University Hospital in Mobile.

The Oak Grove Volunteer Fire Rescue also assisted in the call.

The accident remains under investigation.
