Woman Killed in Fiery Crash Identified

MOBILE, Ala.

A woman killed in a fiery wreck involving an Amazon truck has been identified by the Mobile Police Department.

According to MPD, 41-year-old Marcie Morissette of Mobile was killed in the crash that happened on I-65 in the southbound lanes near the I-10 interchange at around 12:55 a.m. on Tuesday.

Police said that Morissette was driving a Dodge Charger northbound on I-65 in the southbound lanes when she struck a semi-truck.

Emergency personnel rushed to the scene, but Morissette was pronounced dead when paramedics arrived.

During the crash, some Interstate 65 lanes were shut down for a considerable amount of time.

The driver of the semi-truck involved received minor injuries in the crash, according to police.
