SARALAND, AL. Police officers in Saraland tried to stop a person who was wanted on outstanding arrest warrants, but the driver fled and led officers on a pursuit.
Police pursued the vehicle onto US 43 as it headed toward Creola.
ALEA troopers joined the pursuit as the driver refused to pull over. The pursuit at one point reached speeds of more than 100 m.p.h.
While officers prepared to set up stop sticks (a device that penetrates the tires and slowly releases its air), the driver pulled over and surrendered at around 5:44 p.m.
There were no traffic collisions or injuries reported during the pursuit.
