Two State Police Pursuit Ends in Crash and Arrest in Florida

ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. What started as a traffic stop in Baldwin County Wednesday morning at around 10: a.m. ended in Florida after a two state police pursuit.
It all began when deputies with the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office attempted to pull over the driver, later identified as 41-year-old Terell Cargill, who refused to stop, and eventually crashed in Florida.
A vehicle chase that began in Baldwin County ended in a crash and arrest in Escambia County, Fla.
As the pursuit entered Interstate 10 and crossed state lines, the Florida highway Patrol was requested for assistance.
Cargill also allegedly threw items out of the vehicle after the chase began.
The chase ended when law enforcement lost sight of the vehicle, but it was later found at a park off of Concordia Boulevard, although Cargill had abandoned the vehicle and left the area on foot.
Florida law enforcement was able to track down Cargill at a home off of Chimes Way, and he was arrested.
Law enforcement stated that during a search of the vehicle, they found possible drugs.
Cargill is charged in Escambia County with multiple offenses and will be extradited to Alabama faced with additional charges.
