Two People Killed in Baldwin Beach Express Wreck

ROBERTSDALE, Ala. A two-vehicle wreck on the Baldwin Beach Express on Wednesday, October 7th, 2026, at approximately 6:40 p.m. has taken the life of the drivers of both vehicles.
According to authorities, a man and woman died in the head-on crash.
Their names are not being released at this time until their relatives have been notified.
A man who was traveling south on the Beach Express, drifted across the median and hit a woman’s vehicle in the northbound lanes.
The Robertsdale and Summerdale Fire Departments responded and attempted to extricate the drivers and EMS attempted lifesaving measures.
A medical helicopter was also dispatched to the scene.
Law enforcement stated that the man was from North Alabama and the female driver was from Baldwin County.
According to a witness, a minivan and a pickup truck were involved.
During the crash investigation the Beach Express was temporarily shut down from East Silverhill Avenue to Fairground Road.
Once the scene was cleared, police reopened the roadway at approximately 9:10 p.m.
