2 Killed in Train Wreck Near Bellingrath

UPDATE: A male and a female inside of the vehicle were killed during the impact. The Amtrak train was on its way to Mobile when this occurred. Based on the initial investigation, the arms were down at the time of the incident.
MOBILE COUNTY, Ala. Authorities are reporting a train collision that occurred at approximately 11:00 a.m. Thursday morning, September 24, 2026.
Authorities are reporting that the train and vehicle crash has occurred in the area of Bellingrath Road and Peary Road.
At this time, police and fire departments, EMS and other agencies are responding to the crash scene.
