Family and friends are grieving after a 16-year-old boy was killed and his mother and sister injured.
The Theodore family was visiting others in Louisiana when there was an explosion and a ball of fire at a home where they were.
The 16-year-old boy has been identified as Deuce Barrer, and deputies say that he died at the scene of the explosion.
His sister, Brooklyn, 18, and Mother, Katherine Danielle, 37, were severely injured.
Authorities say that seven people were inside the home at the time of the explosion.
According to the Louisiana Office of State Fire Marshal, Fire Marshal deputies arrived at a home in Ragley, Louisiana, just before 10 a.m. and found the home on fire.
A GoFundMe has been set up asking for any donations for hospital and funeral costs.
“Katherine and Brooklyn medically have a long road to recovery as they both suffered multiple devastating injuries, Deuce sadly didn’t make it and this family will need the community now more than ever in all aspects,” the GoFundMe page said.
The cause of the explosion is still under investigation.
