A home was gutted by fire Thursday in Mobile County according to the Theodore Dawes Fire-Rescue Department,
Firefighters responded to a fully engulfed home on Jim Busby Road at around 11:15 a.m. and unfortunately it was too far gone and burned to the ground the fire department stated.
The Fowl River District responded to the fire along with Theodore Dawes Fire Rescue.
When firefighters arrived on scene, they were met with heavy fire coming from a two-story home and began an external attack to extinguish and were able to knock down the fire.
Fowl River District Chief Corideo said Theodore Dawes crews came to assist Fowl River as they had a hard time putting out the fire due to the water pressure in the area. This challenge was followed by a boil water notice being issued.
No injuries were reported, and the fire is under investigation.
