Three Arrested After Pursuit in Mobile

MOBILE Ala Mobile police officers were attempting to conduct a traffic stop on Saturday, July 5, 2025, at approximately 2:55 p.m., when the driver refused to stop even though police had their emergency equipment on.
The attempted traffic stop began in the 5200 block of Rangeline Road, where the driver fled police and led officers on a pursuit.
Additional officers joined the pursuit that ended in the 2700 block of Schillinger Road.
The driver, Samuel Nelson, 23, exited the vehicle and attempted to run on foot, but was quickly apprehended by officers.
Nelson, along with two passengers, Conner Holifield, 54, and Ryan Hammac, 42, were arrested and transported to Metro Jail.
Nelson has been charged with Attempting to Elude Police, Possession of a Controlled Substance.
