MOBILE, AL. The use of tracking devices including “Air Tags” has become more common since the prices of many of these devices have decreased.
While there are many valuable uses for these, there are also others that are illegal and lead to a form of stalking.

Two recent, but unrelated arrests in Mobile are prime examples of this.

Mobile police arrested Tavoris Carlisle after he allegedly placed an air tag on a woman’s vehicle back on June 13, 2025, with the intent to track her.
While police did not identify how the victim came to find the device, police charged Carlisle with first-degree electronic stalking and aggravated stalking, according to jail records.

Scott Miller, 44, was also arrested in a separate incident after an air tag attached to his phone number was allegedly found in a victim’s car trunk under a cooler.

Once again, police did not reveal how the victim became aware of the device or how the two knew each other.

Miller was booked on Aug 10 for second-degree electronic stalking and released on a $500 bond, according to court records.
