Mobile County Law Enforcement Charge Man With Multiple Sex Crimes

Mobile County law enforcement has made an arrest of a person on multiple sex related crimes.

We know that the person, identified as James Mitchell Stokes, is being held on a substantial amount of bond and was arrested within the past twenty-four hours.

We also know that the arrest involved the sexual assault of a child.

Stokes is facing charges of:

SODOMY 2ND DEGREE

SODOMY 1ST DEGREE

RAPE 1ST DEGREE

SODOMY 2ND DEGREE

SEX ABUSE – CHILD

RAPE 2ND DEGREE

SEXUAL ABUSE 2ND

SODOMY 1ST DEGREE

SEXUAL ABUSE 1^ST

Stokes currently is held on over $300,000 bond.

We have contacted the Mobile County Sheriff’s Office for further details and will release those as soon as they become available.
