Foley Driver Crashes Into Store Catching Car On Fire

A vehicle driving on South Mckenzie Street on Wednesday morning lost control and crashed into the NAPA Auto Parts store and caught fire, temporarily entrapping the driver.
The Foley police and fire department and a Medstar ambulance all rushed to the area at around 11:30 a.m. and firefighters reported that the car was burning and that they were able to quickly extricate the person.
A medical helicopter was also dispatched to the scene, but it is unknown if anyone was transported.
The building was inspected after the crash.
The wreck remains under investigation.
