Police Arrest Adult and Juvenile After Fleeing in Stolen Vehicle

MOBILE Ala. Police officers on patrol on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at approximately 1 a.m. attempted to conduct a traffic stop for a moving infraction in the vicinity of California Street and Wisconsin Avenue but the driver refused to stop and fled.
Officers were able to get the vehicle to a stop around the area of Old Military Road and Perimeter Road.
Multiple police officers were able to detain the two occupants inside the vehicle and determined that the car was stolen.
A juvenile male subject was taken into custody, along with Anthony Loper, 18, who was transported to Metro Jail.
Loper faces charges of Attempting to Elude Law Enforcement, Possession of Marijuana and Receiving Stolen Property.
The juvenile was charged with Possession of Marijuana and Receiving Stolen Property.
