A strange combination of fruit and weed will soon be growing on a farm in Dothan.
Among the rolls of blackberries and other crops will now be a much greener crop both in color and in cash flow.
Blackberry Farms, LLC in Dothan is one of several businesses granted cultivator licenses to grow medical marijuana in Alabama.
The marketing material for this business paints it as a charming retreat nestled in the heart of nature. Offering a peaceful escape, this farm provides guests with serene and tranquil surroundings. And soon, some other surprises may also be in store for their guests.
A Baldwin County farm located in Daphne was also issued a cultivator license so that they too can grow medical marijuana.
Pure by Sirmon Farms, LLC located in Daphne is best known for its rolls of Sunflowers on County Road 54.
But now, Sirmon Farms said that they aim to deliver the “purest high-quality cannabis products to help improve people’s lives, mentally and physically.”
The Alabama Medical Cannabis Commission grants and regulates all areas of the medical cannabis industry in the state.
