Rural Baldwin County Fire Departments Battle Woods and Structure Fire

BALDWIN COUNTY, Ala. A fire that got out of hand in a rural part of Baldwin County burned several acres of land and destroyed a structure that was on the property.
The Crossroads and Whitehouse Forks Volunteer Fire Departments were dispatched to the fire at 42543 Wiggins Lane at around 4 p.m., on Thursday, February 26, 2026.
Upon arrival, firefighters were met with heavy fire conditions as the fire was spreading.
With the combined efforts of both fire departments, firefighters were able to contain and extinguish the fire in less than an hour.
No injuries were reported.
