Publix 12K Run Salutes Our Military Heroes

SPANISH FORT, Ala. On Sunday, November 16, 2025, the Publix Battleship 12K patriotic run took place as runners ran down Battleship Parkway through Spanish Fort.
The opening ceremonies included the National Anthem and applause before runners were on their way.
More than 2000 runners paid tribute to the men and women who protect our country at home and abroad.
The 12K run was created by Publix in 2015 to honor our veterans and to recognize many who have never received our heartfelt thanks.
Runners finished at the Battleship Memorial Park beside the USS Alabama.
Spanish Fort Police provided traffic control for the runners, and EMS was also on hand.
We’ve been told that at least three of the runners experienced a medical emergency and were treated by paramedics.
